Coeur d'Alene Vacation

Today is our last full day in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It's been a great vacation. Those fashionable hardhats are from our silver mine tour in Wallace. What a great tour with a knowledgeable guide. What a tough job a miner would have!
This picture brings a smile to my face. Mom and Dad Barnett with the grandkids just before our trolley tour to the mine. Good times!

One day we spent on the beach of Lake CdA. The sun was warm and the water was pleasant. The kids had a great time swimming, playing on the sand, throwing the frisbee (mostly Chad, Blake, Colin, and I). Colin and Micah pose for a split second.
We rented a kayak and the older kids and adults enjoyed it. Here are Chad and the boys.
Where you could find us a good portion of the vacation--in the kitchen! We did all our meals here and it was fun having big breakfasts, dinners, and way too many treats!
Before we made it to CdA, we stayed with Blake and Maren in Pullman, Washington. (And ate them out of house and home!) They gave us the 'grand tour' and we stopped to see the bears at WSU. Here are our kids with little Braden in front of a bear.
CdA has a beautiful beach with a huge grassy area and a terrific wooden playground. It had everything! We were there all day long.
Mr. Micah!
Lovin it: Chad, Colin, Blake, Ella, and Micah.
They insisted on a picture in front of the eagle.
Cute family picture of Blake, Braden, and Maren.
Chillin' in the morning with cartoons before a big day.
Amber is the hobby queen. At the moment, she's into making bracelets and brought up a bunch for us three ladies to work on together. It was thoughtful of her to bring up a fun activity. And now I have 3 smokin' bracelets to wear!
Mom Barnett loved playing with the kids. Here is Mira 'feeding' Grandma...something. One evening she watched the kids so Amber, Maren, and I could go out for pedicures. Thank you!!
There's a good chance you'd find Dad Barnett reading a book or taking off for a walk to discover the sites.
On Sherman st. there was an amazing little shop, Figpickles Toy Emporium. I could've spent hours in there! The kids had been saving their money for vacation and they went to town in that place! Here they are with all their goods.
And a pose in front of Figpickles.
Our fam!
I love this. If you look closely, you'll notice Micah's right ear is red and swollen. The night before he'd been out with 'the boys' to golf and got stung by a bee. (Poor kid's been stung his fair share.)

Another one of the whole crew.
And could they be any cuter? Mira and Braden having a lunch break.

I'm so glad we came up here. It was great to see where Blake and Maren live. I actually got a nap during my vacation (bonus!). And we'll bring home some great memories.

I had to hold back tears when you guys left. It was so fun to see you guys and the kids. You are wonderful parents and it makes me realize how lucky I am to have you as a sister-in-law.

How fun! It looked just like our Newton Bear Lake trip - gotta love those! The water looked like a blast and the kids look so big and they're changing so much! Loved Ella's haircut, super cute! At least she'll still let you get it out of her face, Theron's having issues. Tell Micah, Theron can commiserate with his bee-sting; she was attacked last month by 20! No kidding, I think they were wasps though, and she survived, no allergic reaction, but lots of red sting spots. Love you guys a ton! Have fun with Chris and tell him hi from us!
